About
Our School
Believers In Christ is a Christian school located in the heart of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. For over 30 years, we loved children to Christ and empowered them to be the world's next generation of leaders.
Director’s Welcome
Welcome! My name is Dr. Cheryl McBride Brown, and I am the Director of Education. I seek to be known as a servant of God. My love for God and desire to bring Him glory have propelled my journey of success with the Lord. I firmly believe that no single accomplishment or success truly reflects the worth of an individual. The measure of a person is adherence to life-long principles. A look at my life reveals a deliberate striving to adhere to the principles instilled by my parents while growing up in my native city of New Orleans: serve God, love His people, and become a person of integrity.
The milestones are many on my pathway to success. Starting my journey from New Orleans to Milwaukee, I attended Marquette University to obtain my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. To follow that, I received a Master of Education in Religious studies from Cardinal Stritch University and a Doctorate in Education from Capella University. As Founder and President of Believers In Christ Ministries, Inc., I serve as a catalyst and overseer of various ministry programs. My ongoing works include prison ministry, local and national, international evangelism, youth ministry, and K-12 education. Since then, I have established the Kids Are Smart Child Development Center, Christian Academy, and High School of Excellence. One of my most significant accomplishments in producing quality schools has received national attention as a prototype for innovative and practical education. In addition to all of the above, I have organized Intelligence Inc., an educational consulting firm.
I have served in many capacities within the Full Gospel Baptist Church fellowship. My service experience includes General Overseer, First Assistant to Bishop Jerome Ross in the Pastors’ Division, and consecrated to the Office of Bishop, one of the first women clergy to have been bestowed such an honor and responsibility.
I have received numerous citations and awards for my untiring efforts to improve my community's quality of life. I sit on several policy-making boards and am valued for my wise counsel and strength of character. Ultimately, my love for God drives me to help others know, love, and serve Him. Everyone is unique and can succeed. Someone has to show them. I genuinely believe that I am that someone.

Over the years, I have learned to carry many names. Feel free to call me according to my purpose in your life: Bishop, Bishop Mom, Pastor Cheryl, Dr. Cheryl.
I am thrilled to serve and love all who come unto the Lord.
Appreciatively,
Bishop Cheryl McBride Brown, Ph.D.
